Umesh Narayanan, M.D. is a native of Tampa, Florida. He completed his undergraduate studies earning a Bachelor of Sciences at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida (Go Gators!). He completed his medical school at Saba University School of Medicine in the Dutch Caribbean. He completed his Family Medicine Residency training at the University of North Dakota in Minot, North Dakota. He then went on and completed a Geriatrics Fellowship at the University of Arizona Geriatrics program here in Sun City, Arizona. He loved the area so much and has found permanent residence in Phoenix, Arizona. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine through the American Board of Family Medicine and is Board Certified in Geriatric Medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is also an academic preceptor for the geriatric fellowship program through University of Arizona/Banner Health. He has fellows and residents rotate with him once a week.
He is married. His wife is a Physician Assistant in Dermatology in the area. In his spare time, he is an avid sports fan and enjoys watching and playing football, basketball, and baseball. He also enjoys hiking. Traveling the world and trying various cuisines is his passion.
