Dr. Rayette Casiano is a board certified internist who received a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from the University of Maryland, College Park. After working in biochemical research, she obtained her Medical Doctorate from Eastern Virginia Medical School where she also completed her Internal Medicine residency. The majority of her twenty year career, she served as medical director of multiple clinics including community health centers in North Carolina and Alaska. Because Dr. Casiano believes in taking a holistic approach to healthcare, she became a certified practitioner through the Institute for Functional Medicine, an ADAPT Trained Practitioner through the Kresser Institute, and is currently a fellow at the University of Arizona’s Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine. By combining her knowledge of allopathic, functional, and integrative medicine, Dr. Casiano hopes to maximize the health & wellness of patients while minimizing their need for medication through nutrition & lifestyle changes. Dr. Casiano is a proud wife and mother of six wonderful adult children. To relax, she loves sewing, quilting, and playing piano at her local church where she accompanies her husband, who is an amazing singer.
